Aim Trials is a leading provider of mental health studies in the DFW area as well as providing other Phase I-IV research trials for adults and the pediatric population. We are a local company with a patient-centric approach to providing medical research that can help people across the globe.
We are dedicated to conducting clinical studies, investigating the effectiveness of new medicines and treatments in a variety of therapeutic areas. Our Theraputic Areas include: Internal medicine, allergy, asthma, immunology, cardiology, consumer studies, dermatology, neurology and headaches, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, psychiatry (pediatric, adolescent and adult), oncology, vaccines and men’s and women’s health.
We also conduct human factor trials and user experience (UX) research trials focusing on healthcare and decentralized research using technology platforms for remote sessions and/or hybrid models of in-person visits and tele-health.

As the Founder and CEO of Aim Trials, Sonia has over 18 years of experience in clinical research, project management, and regulatory compliance in both drug and medical device trials. Sonia leads a team of research professionals who are dedicated to delivering high-quality, ethical, and innovative clinical studies in various therapeutic areas for both Pediatric and Adult Populations, with a focus on mental health.
Her mission is to shatter the mental health stigma within the community. Sonia works closely with mental health organizations such as NAMI, Changes, and NOCD.
Driven by a profound commitment to the well-being of our community, Sonia has cultivated a visionary approach that encompasses a multi-specialty site integrated within a private practice. This unique synergy empowers our team of experienced investigators to lead with unmatched expertise in conducting Phase I-IV research trials.
Her aim is to provide exceptional service and value to our clients, partners, and patients, by leveraging her expertise in clinical research design, execution, and reporting, as well as my knowledge of the latest industry standards and best practices.
Dr. Saumil Mehta is board certified in internal medicine and experienced in conducting clinical trials. Dr. Mehta has a large database of patients with asthma, COPD, dermatology issues, UTIs, birth control, hot flashes, rheumatology, migraines, diabetes, DPN, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, healthy adults and pediatrics for vaccines, and men’s health.
Dr. Sejal Mehta is board certified in Psychiatry (pediatrics and adults) with over 25 years of clinical experience. Dr. Sejal Mehta has been serving as a PI since 2010 in clinical trials with different indications. She is experienced in conducting trials in pediatric and adult populations. Dr. Sejal Mehta has been part of the community and largely involved in shattering the mental health stigma by partnering with different organizations. Dr. Sejal Mehta has a large database of patients with MDD, Bipolar, TRD, PTSD, GAD, Schizophrenia, Addiction, Migraines, Binge eating, ADHD, and OCD.
Peter is a licensed Psychologist in the State of Texas with over 20 years of clinical experience and over 5 years of experience in Clinical Research as a Sub-I/Rater. He has experience conducting rating scales in both Pediatric/Adolescent and Adult Trials in different indications.
Peter has a strong focus on both Adolescent and Adult treatment. He also has lengthy experience working with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and other mood disorders. Peter places a lot of attention on issues of diversity (racial, sexual, and gender) and works to provide an environment where one can feel heard and understood.
Lastly, Peter has extensively worked with creative personality types such as artists and musicians and works closely with the area arts community.
Crystal Salas is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and U.S. Army Veteran. With a nursing career spanning since 2010, she brings diverse experience from various healthcare settings, including:
- ICU/Neonatal ICU
- Pediatric Home Health
- Neurology
- Inpatient Treatment/Chemical Dependency
- Utilization Management
Crystal’s professional interests focus on:

She has furthered her expertise through specialized training with MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) and Beckley Academy in psychedelic treatments.
Committed to community service , Crystal volunteers weekly with organizations involved in psychedelic harm reduction, advocates for innovative PTSD/Trauma treatments for veterans and participates in the military peer veteran network, connecting veterans with psychological and community resources.
Crystal’s unique blend of clinical experience, specialized training, and dedication to veteran support makes her a valuable addition to the Aim Trials team.
Nannette is a seasoned professional with 30 years of experience in outbound sales and public speaking, complemented by 5 years specializing in patient outreach and call center management for clinical trials. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Nevada. Over the past 14 years, Nannette has developed a strong background in presentation coaching, training, and leadership development. Her commitment to enhancing diversity and inclusivity in clinical trial execution is evident in her strategic approach. At her previous position, she led a robust team of 25 remote recruitment specialists, managing to facilitate an impressive volume of 250,000 calls per month and effectively recruiting 9,000 screened patients across more than 15 site locations. Nannette’s innovative strategies in patient recruitment have earned her team a nomination for the SPRIA award, recognizing her pioneering efforts in the field. In her role as the Head of Patient Recruitment and Patient Outreach at Aim Trials, she continues to bring invaluable expertise and visionary leadership to enhance trial outcomes and foster inclusive participation.

Sabrina Flowers is a Clinical Research Coordinator who has been a part of the Aim Trials team since 2021. Sabrina has a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Texas A&M University. Throughout her academic journey, Sabrina exhibited a strong passion for research and its potential to drive positive change in individuals lives. Her commitment to advancing scientific knowledge led her to pursue a career in clinical research, where she could directly contribute to the development of new treatments and interventions. She has worked on over 15 diverse clinical trials encompassing a wide range of indications, including asthma, migraines, and Influenza.
Carmen Almaguer has been part of AIM Trials since 2019. Prior to joining AIM Trials, Carmen worked in Regulatory Affairs since 2006. Carmen oversees, manages, and participates in startup research activities, along with oversight of regulatory coordination for clinical research studies. She comes with in-depth knowledge of current regulations and guidelines to further strengthen compliance at AIM Trials. In her free time, Carmen enjoys spending time with her family.
Jordan Yauch graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She previously worked as a licensed behavior analyst with children with ASD. Jordan Yauch is a former D-1 Volleyball player. Her previous experiences in mental health and sportsmanship combined have given her a well-rounded skill set to ensure quality treatment with compassion without the associated stigma of mental health. In her free time, Jordan coaches the girls volleyball team.
Nilam Patel is a part of our Regulatory Team. She graduated in India with Bachelor Of Pharmacy. She completed her advanced program in Clinical Pharmacy in India. She previously worked as a Registered Pharmacist in India. She has been working in healthcare domain since 2011.She is a certified Pharmacy Technician. She has certification for Clinical research and Pharmacovigilance. She is highly interested in learning new skills. She enjoys working in Clinical research.
Aditi Diggikar has graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Aditi joined AIM Trials in 2023; however, she has quickly become an integral part of the operations team.
Dat Tran is a certified Medical Assistant and has been part of AIM Trials for 2 years. His previous experience involves working as a Medical Assistant in private clinical settings and being involved in billing and face-sheet entries from hospitals. His previous experience in direct patient care is invaluable to the operations team at AIM Trials.
